The tragic death of New Milford High School junior William “Will” Neeb in a car accident on Monday night has left the community mourning the loss of a bright, compassionate, and talented young man. Will’s death was confirmed by school officials after his vehicle, a GMC Acadia, went off Pickett District Road and struck a fence. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.


Superintendent Janet Parlato shared a heartfelt statement on Tuesday, reflecting on Will's contributions to the school and the qualities that endeared him to so many. “Will was known for his kind heart, friendliness to peers, and diligence as a student,” Parlato said. “He will be tremendously missed by his peers and the staff of New Milford Public Schools.”
