Tragic Car Accident on Braga Bridge: Emergency Crews on Site for Serious Crash on I-195 East

A serious car accident on the Braga Bridge this morning has prompted a large-scale emergency response, with crews working quickly to assist victims and clear the wreckage.

The crash, which occurred on I-195 East, involved a vehicle that collided with the bridge's guardrails, resulting in significant damage to the vehicle and serious injuries to its occupants.

The incident occurred just after sunrise and has led to major traffic disruptions in both directions. Emergency medical teams were dispatched immediately and quickly transported the injured to nearby hospitals.

At least one person has been reported as critically injured, though authorities have yet to confirm the full extent of the injuries. Investigators are currently reviewing the scene and collecting evidence to determine what led to the crash.

The Braga Bridge, a vital transportation link between Fall River and Somerset, is often heavily trafficked during peak commuting times. As a result, the accident has caused substantial delays for morning drivers.

Law enforcement officials have urged motorists to avoid the area if possible and to follow alternate routes to prevent further congestion. The cause of the accident remains under investigation, but authorities have noted that the weather was clear at the time of the incident.

It is not yet clear whether speeding, reckless driving, or another factor contributed to the crash. As first responders continue their work at the scene, local officials are reminding drivers to use extra caution when navigating busy bridges and highways.

As more information is released, the community is coming together to offer support to the victims and their families during this difficult time. Authorities are expected to provide updates as the investigation progresses.
