At approximately 12:45 AM on December 13th, 2024, Hancock County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a shooting at the Amazon Warehouse located at 7114 West 200 North in Greenfield, Indiana. When law enforcement arrived, they discovered the body of Isaac Riley, a 39-year-old man from Indianapolis, lying deceased in the parking lot. Nearby, a second man was found, his hands raised in surrender to the deputies.
The suspect, believed to have shot Riley, was quickly secured without any further incident. Authorities assure the public that there is no ongoing danger, stating that this was an isolated incident involving two individuals. The initial investigation points toward self-defense as a possible factor in the shooting. The suspect, along with witnesses at the scene, has been fully cooperative with investigators.
As of now, the case is still under investigation, and the Hancock County Prosecutor’s Office, in conjunction with the Sheriff’s Office and Evidence Technicians, is working on gathering all relevant information. The family of the deceased victim has been notified.
