On January 12, 2007, Braden Tyler Malin entered the world, bringing with him an uncontainable energy and an abundance of love. His untimely passing on December 14, 2024, has left an irreplaceable void in the lives of his family and friends. Braden was more than a son, brother, grandson, cousin, and friend; he was a beacon of joy whose memory will forever be cherished.
Braden’s personality was as radiant as the sun. Known for his big hugs and ever-present smile, he had a unique ability to lift the spirits of everyone around him. His sense of humor, coupled with his kind and goofy demeanor, left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Braden’s love for life was infectious, and his generosity of spirit made him a beloved figure in his community.
A proud student of Cooper High School, Braden excelled both on and off the field. His passion for baseball began at the tender age of four and continued throughout his life. Competing for teams like the Vipers and Xtra Innings, Braden’s skill and dedication were evident, but it was his sportsmanship and enthusiasm that truly set him apart. His teammates and coaches valued not only his contributions on the field but also his uplifting attitude and unrelenting support.
Outside of baseball, Braden found joy in simple pleasures. An avid animal lover, his connection with his dogs was a testament to his caring and compassionate nature. Braden also enjoyed fishing, spending quality time with friends, and immersing himself in the "Fast & the Furious" movies. His admiration for Corvettes highlighted his playful side and zest for life.
Family was central to Braden’s life. He is survived by his father, Phillip Malin Jr. (Jennifer), his mother, Rebecca Rauen (Keith), his brother, Austin Malin, and his sister, Adalynn Rauen. His stepsisters, Emme and Elle Rauen, were also a cherished part of his family. Braden shared a special bond with his grandmother, Kimberly Malin, and was dearly loved by his Uncle Brett Malin, Aunt Michelle Malin, and cousins Lily Malin and Jacqueline Klein. His extended family included grandparents Pam and Jerry Rauen, grandmother Marilyn Sanson, Aunt Niki Czelusta, Uncle Dean Derosa, and cousins Zach and Jacob Czelusta, as well as Dallas and Dalton Derosa.
The memories of Braden’s pawpaw, Phillip Malin Sr., and his grandpa, Roger Sanson, live on through his life and actions. Their love and guidance shaped him into the remarkable young man he became.
To celebrate Braden’s incredible life, a visitation and Celebration of Life will be held on December 19, 2024, at 7 Hills Church, 6800 Hazel Court, Florence, KY 41042. Visitation begins at 4:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life at 5:00 PM. Friends, family, and community members are invited to gather and pay tribute to Braden’s enduring legacy of love, laughter, and kindness.
