On Tuesday, a shooting in Aberdeen led to two individuals being hospitalized and a prompt police response. According to officials, the incident occurred around 11 a.m. at a residence on North Congress Street.
Officers arriving on the scene discovered one person with a gunshot wound and transported them to a hospital. A second individual fled, initiating a search for a white Chevy Equinox, as described in police alerts.
The search ended roughly 40 minutes later when a South Dakota State Trooper located the suspect’s vehicle in the 100 block of West Melgaard. The individual, also suffering from a gunshot wound, was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
